One of the difficulties of the mid-September vacation is missing the start of the new TV season.
I don't have extended cable or HBO or anything resembling normal television viewing habits, but this is still problematic.
All I really care about is "How I Met Your Mother" and "ER." I got to see "The Simpsons" last week so that was checked off the list.
That is all. Maybe I can find a videotape before I get on the bus -- oh yes, my friends, the bus -- for my transportation odyssey. By the time I check into my hotel about 3 p.m. Saturday (please God), I will have experienced bus, taxi, airplane and train.
Maybe I can work a skateboard in there somewhere.
